DESCRIPTION:

To celebrate the new Oxcombe Visitor Centre, join Nicki on a circular walk between the hamlets of Oxcombe, Farforth and Ruckland. Starting at the Visitor Centre, Nicki will share her knowledge about the archeology and history of this ancient landscape.

Meeting location / venue: Oxcombe Pottery, Oxcombe Farm, nr Belchford, Horncastle. LN9 6LU

OS Explorer Map: 283 and OS Grid Reference: TF 115 917

Length of walk or activity: 5 miles (approx 2 hours)

Age suitability: Open to all (Children welcome – must be accompanied by an adult)

Ability level and accessibility: Moderate (a moderate level of fitness required, may be some hilly sections but not too steep)

Terrain: Roads, tracks, fields, uneven ground. May be muddy

Dog friendly â€“ Yes (on a short lead)

Toilets available – Yes (including accessible toilet)

Refreshments (provided or nearby) â€“ Yes

Parking availability and location – Free parking available at Oxcombe. Follow lane down to the farm, then look for signage to car park
