The Louth Flood Walk

DESCRIPTION:

The guided walk, led by Louth Museum Volunteer Richard Gurnham, follows the course of the River Lud with a description of the many dramatic and tragic events of the Louth Flood of May 1920.

FURTHER INFORMATION:

Meeting location / venue: Starts at Bridge Street Car Park and finishes at around 3.30pm near the Woolpack Inn, at the Riverhead.

Length of walk or activity: 90 minutes

Age suitability: All ages. Children are free and must be accompanied by an adult.

Ability level and accessibility: For all abilities. Leader and additional volunteers will keep attendees informed of potential hazards including uneven ground and traffic awareness. Attendees to walk responsibly & take care.

Parking availability and location â€“ Paid parking available at Bridge Street Car Park, LN11 0DP (note, the walk finishes near the Woolpack Inn, at the Riverhead

To Book: The cost is £5 per person (children are free). Please come to the museum (open 10am to 4pm Wed to Sat) to book and pay for your walk.
