Start your walk within the beautiful surroundings of Stourton Estate one of the county’s most attractive estates. Don’t forget to look out for the Estate Red Deer along the way!

Night walks offer a new perspective to your walk that you don’t get with hiking during the day. On a clear night you’ll discover wonderful views of the night sky, with the opportunity to spot different constellations among a multitude of sparkling stars.

Night walks do offer their risks, so take precautions and bring the proper equipment to include decent hiking boots and head torch. Water and snacks to keep you energised and some spare warm clothing or waterproofs just in case it turns cold.  It’s always a good idea to bring along your mobile phone too!

Directions- Stourton Woods are only accessible from the A158, look for the signage on the roadside turning down Clays Lane and following the signs Stourton Woods / the Walled Garden Baumber.  PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO ACCESS FROM THE CAISTOR HIGH STREET B1225.

Once on the Estate after 50 yards turn right on the chalk road across the field signed Stourton Woods, through to the hard standing car parking area.
