The secret landscape of the Nettleton Valley

Walk

Walk Distance

5 miles

Bookings

Booking required

Follow the Viking Way from Nettleton through some of the most beautiful landscape of the Lincolnshire Wolds. It is hard to believe that, less than a century ago, this tranquil chalk valley was an industrial scene of iron ore mining,. On the high ground you can see the views as far as Lincoln Cathedral and the Humber Bridge. Walk back down to the village on a quiet country lane and finish at the Salutation Inn. Because livestock are usually in some fields we cannot allow dogs on this walk.
